The 5th annual Tokyo Guitar Show was held at the TFT Hall in Ariake on Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th of June, 2006. The biggest guitar show in Japan was sponcered by the Gibson Custom Shop and Yamano Music (the distributor of Gibson and Fender in Japan) and featured 15 guitar dealers and several guitar makers.

As the show was sponsored by the Gibson Custom Shop, there were plenty of Historic Les Pauls on hand to select from. And, of course, there were many rare and vintage guitars. Among the interesting pieces on display were "Little Red", Duane Allman's first electric guitar (a Les Paul Jr.) and a very correct replica of Clapton's sawed-off Gibson Explorer.

In addition to the rows and rows of guitars, attendees also enjoyed live performances by Mr.JImmy (a well known Led Zepplin tribute band) and the band Shigeo Roll Over (that played Jimi Hendrix tunes) and other entertainment.
