Hot Lixx Hulahan Wins U.S. National Air Guitar Finals

Five U.S. national air guitar finalists aired their differences before a sold-out crowd at NYC's Bowery Ballroom on June 22, 2006. Hot Lixx Hulahan (Craig Billmeier, San Francisco), Zombie on a Rainbow (Jace Bartet, the collegiate entrant), Count Rockula (Mathew Schwartz, Los Angeles), William Ocean (Andrew Litz, New York City), and Big Rig (Randy Strecker, Tulsa) each performed his air guitar routine to Metallica's "Enter Sandman".

Though no doubt a tough choice for the judging panel, which included an Atlantic Records A&R rep, the co-founder of Vice magazine, and 2004 U.S. national champion Sonyk-Rok, Hot Lixx Hulahan was crowned the 2006 U.S. Air Guitar National Champion and will represent the United States in the international air guitar competition that takes place on September 8, 2006, in Finland.
