2006 Bonnaroo Festival

70,000 fans are expected to flock to Manchester, Tennessee, as the 2006 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival gets underway today at the 11-stage, 700 acre site. This year's performers include Radiohead, Tom Petty, Beck, Elvis Costello, Death Cab for Cutie, Hasidic reggae star Matisyahu, Dr. John, the Neville Brothers, Phil Lesh, Bonnie Raitt, Steve Earle, Sonic Youth and close to 100 other bands and performers. But unless you already have tickets, don't jump in the car. The organizers sold 10,000 less tickets this year to avoid having a crowd too big for the venue and all the available admissions have been sold. Story.
