Gibson Guitar and Environmental Defense increased awareness about global climate change at this year’s CMA Music Festival by hosting an exhibit booth which featured information and visual imagery about the impact of climate change. A Gibson Custom Environmental Defense themed guitar was on display and many of the experts attending the booth offered tips to guests on how to save energy and our planet.

The CMA Music Festival is an annual event where country music fans from around the world visit Nashville for the chance to visit with their favorite country music stars and attend performances. Environmental Defense is set to educate the American public about the solutions to climate change and targeted the mass audiences in the region during the popular festival in Nashville, Tennessee.

“We’ve been thrilled about the reaction of music fans when they come to the booth,” said Environmental Defense President Fred Krupp. “More and more Americans are realizing we’ve got to do something about climate change.”

Gibson Custom produced an exclusive guitar featuring “flaming Earth” logo. The logo is also featured on guitar picks which carry the web address FightGlobalWarming.com, a site that offers information about climate change and ways for consumer to take action in their daily lives. Guests visited the exhibit booth to view specially produced video presentations or to pick up literature. Several country music celebrities stopped by throughout the festival to offer their support for the cause.
