AK-47 Strung for Peace

No one would associate the word peace with an AK-47 Kalashnikov assault rifle, but that may be precisely the reason singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Souriya Sunshine of Thailand built a six-string electric guitar from a rusty old AK-47. Sunshine wants to bring peace to troubled areas of southern Thailand. "I could not sit still. I wanted to do something. I wanted to bring peace to my country," Sunshine told the Associated Press. That something includes using his custom electric guitar to entertain Thai militants and encourage them to lay down their weapons. Story.
