Photo Op: Sammy Hagar

On Tuesday, May 23rd the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisor's presented Sammy Hagar with a proclamation naming May 23rd "Sammy Hagar Day" in the County of San Bernardino. Following the Board of Supervisor's meeting, Hagar visited the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center's (ARMC) Inland Counties Regional Burn Center where he was given a tour of the burn unit and visited with patients.

Left to right: Mark Uffer (County Administrative Officer), Dennis Hansberger (County Supervisor), Gary Ovitt (County Supervisor), Sammy Hagar, Josie Gonzales (County Supervisor), Bill Postmus (County Supervisor), Paul Biane (County Supervisor), Dev Gnanadev (ARMC Medica Director).

Hagar, a former resident of Fontana for twenty years, is giving back to his community and the burn center where a close family friend died due to severe burn injuries several years back. Hagar is partnering with the ARMC Foundation to raise funds for the Inland Counties Regional Burn Center.

Proceeds from the sale of special charity tickets for Hagar's concert on June 3, 2006 at the County of San Bernardino's Hyundai Pavilion will benefit the Burn Center. Proceeds will assist the Burn Center in its efforts to fund a local burn camp for children who are recovering from the traumatic effects of burn injuries, and to purchase special medical equipment necessary to treat burn injuries. Burn Center charity concert tickets for Glen Helen's Hyundai Pavilion can be purchased online at www.sbcounty.gov or www.kcalfm.com for $65 and $55 for orchestra and loge seats, respectively.
