Caught in the Act: Tom Freund

Crowd pleaser Tom Freund stepped on stage at Jammin' Java, Vienna, Virginia with his vintage Martin D-35, a scroll top Ampeg upright bass and a Tennessee mandolin and pulled everyone into his orbit of songs. Freund's "Copper Moon", "Simpatico", and "Run Like That" showcased his conversationalist style that's both melodic and catchy by steering toward flatness just at the right moment when the lyrics demand that peculiar edge.

Tom's been working on songs for his next CD with Ben Harper and keeping busy touring, composing, and developnig a concept for a compilation of tunes for children.
