Actress Scarlett Pomers to Host NEDA Charity Event

Press release
Source: Rhonda Boudreaux

Actress Scarlett Pomers will host an event at BB Kings Blues Club on Thursday May 18 to launch Arch-Angels and a multi-single CD, Project Chains. The event will be open to the public but also many VIPs and some of Hollywood's elite are scheduled to attend.

After suffering from anorexia the 17-year-old REBA star established Arch-Angels and joined forces with the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) in an effort to raise money and awareness for education, advocacy and research.

Pomers, also an accomplished singer and songwriter, teamed up with Alt Rockers JAK PARIS to record Fleetwood Mac's mega hit "The Chain", a version that has all the flavor of the original but with a heavier modern rock sound. The Maxi-single, Project Chains, also includes Valentine, co-written and performed by Pomers and a single by JAK PARIS off his new CD Electric Revolution, Overrated. Proceeds from Project Chains will benefit Pomers' Arch-Angels fund. To hear samples of Project Chains please visit www.projectchains.com.

Minarik Guitars has generously donated a Special Edition Goddess Guitar autographed by NEDA Ambassador Scarlett Pomers, rock icon and living legend Stevie Nicks, country music stars Reba McEntire & Sara Evans, heavy metal icons Rob Zombie & Motorhead, alternative rock bands Lit & Hoobastak, drummer Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, The Vandals), Goth-rock band from Milan, Italy Lacuna Coil, and other major recording artists will be on display and available to bidders around the globe exclusively on ebay. Proceeds will go to Pomers' Arch-Angels fund to benefit NEDA.
