Auction Features 18th and 19th Century Guitars

On May 16, 2006, Christie's auction house (New York location) will present Musical Instruments (Sale 1648), an auction that includes a circa 1770 English guitar, an 1819 baroque guitar by Gennaro Fabricatore and a guitar made circa 1860 attributed to George Dolling. Other instruments include early Martins, Fender Stratrocasters from the early '60s, and guitars from a wide variety of other makers such as Gibson, D'Aquisto, and Stromberg.
