Gibson Guitar Hosts Blues and Roots Music Festival in Australia

Gibson Guitar, the world's premiere musical instrument manufacturer has partnered with this year's annual Blues & Roots Music Festival being held at the Red Devil Park, Byron Bay, NSW, Australia April 13-17, 2006. With a strong serving of vintage blues, reggae, Latin and world pop music, the 2006 Bluesfest bill is already more diverse and amazing than last year’s array of talent.

Artists for 2006 include David Gray, Martha Wainwright, Buddy Guy, Jackson Browne, Los Lobos, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, The Cat Empire, Sigur Ros, Bob Geldof, Yothu Yindi, Jamie Cullum, Hot House Flowers, Eddi Reader, Music Maker Foundation Presents Beverly 'Guitar' Watkins, Cornerstone Roots, Blue King Brown and Beth Orton. Gibson Musical Instruments will be on-site supporting all the musicians throughout the 5 day festival.

Gibson Les Paul guitars and other models will be on display at the artist's tent and performing artists will have a chance to autograph an exclusive Epiphone Les Paul model which will later be auctioned off to benefit Cystic Fibrosis. Guests to the Blues and Roots Music Festival will find themselves amidst some of the world's greatest instruments while being entertained by some of the world's greatest performers.
