April 6, 2006Buddy Holly Memorabilia to Be AuctionedHeritage Auction Galleries is offering over 100 personal items owned by Buddy Holly including the diamond wristwatch he wore on February 3, 1959, when Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson died in a plane crash in Iowa. Holly's widow, Maria Elena, has consigned the watch, unreleased music recordings, and other items to the auction that will take place April 14-15 in Dallas, Texas (U.S.).
