Gibson Guitar Co-sponsors Inaugural Cartier International Polo Challenge Cup

Gibson Guitar co-sponsored the first Cartier International Polo Challenge Cup which took place at Dubai's Desert Palm Polo Complex. Middle Eastern Royalty converged with select VIPs to watch two teams battle it out for the prestigious cup. Barclays Private Bank took on Bombardier Vodka in a thrilling five chukka match which went into a crucial golden goal situation. It was Barclays Private Bank who took the honors with a 7-6 win over their competitors.

Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum kindly presented the Gibson Pure Best Playing Pony Award. English polo pro Johnny Good's (Hcp 5) pony India took the Gibson Pure sponsored horse blanket.

This event is an extension of the successful Cartier International Day held annually at Guards Polo Club, England. The prestigious and glamorous event included Gibson Guitar as a first year sponsor of the Best Playing Pony Award. Alongside celebrities and polo stars, Gibson Guitar played an integral part in supporting what will now be recognized as the pinnacle event of the social and sporting season in Dubai.
