Former President Bill Clinton Lends a Hand to Music Rising

President Bill Clinton made a stop in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Sunday, March 19, 2006 where he presented guitarist August Williams with a Gibson Music Rising guitar. Williams is a recipient who is benefiting from the campaign launched by U2's The Edge, producer Bob Ezrin, Gibson Guitar, MusiCares, and the Guitar Center Music Foundation to aid musicians affected by the hurricane disasters of the Gulf Region. President Clinton presented August Williams the guitar in the Pilot's Lounge at Louisiana Aviation at the Baton Rouge airport. Gibson Guitar produced only 300 of the Music Rising guitars which are on sale at participating Guitar Centers for a limited time. All proceeds go to Music Rising.
