Peavey's PV® 1600 Bi-Pack and PV 3800 Provide Easy Bi and Tri-Amping

Press release
Source: Peavey

Peavey proudly introduces the PV 1600 Bi-Pack and PV 3800 power amplifiers, designed for easy bi-amping and tri-amping. Increasing your sound system's dynamic range as much as four times and maintaining clarity and punch is now as simple as plugging in a few cables.

The PV 1600 Bi-Pack is an integrated, all-in-one power solution for bi-amping non-powered speakers such as the Peavey SP* 2, SP 4 or Impulse® 1015. The PV 1600 Bi-Pack delivers 930 watts to woofers (lows) and 350 watts to compression drivers (highs) through a specialized crossover with built-in EQ and phase adjustment. In addition to a 50 Hz bass boost with roll off, a gentle slope throughout the rest of the low frequency range is utilized up to the crossover frequency.

Add a 3,800-watt PV 3800 amp to your Bi-Pack system for a tri-amped system! Our highest-power PV Series power amp utilizes a crossover specially tailored for subwoofers and the high power necessary to drive them. Load Fault Correction circuitry along with our famous DDT* speaker protection and Turn On/Turn Off protection allow operation with greater efficiency, even under difficult loads and power conditions. The PV 3800 connects to a PV 1600 Bi-Pack through a simple ¼" or XLR cable.

The PV 1600 Bi-Pack and PV 3800 power amplifiers will be available in Q2 2006 from authorized Peavey retailers.
