Vintage Guitars Auctioned for Charity

Press release
Source: WLF (World Learning Forum)

A rare collection of very special vintage guitars is being sold on behalf of a concert promoter who wishes to remain anonymous. An associate of Jimi Hendrix in the 1960's, this meticulous collector is selling a fine selection of over 100 vintage and contemporary acoustic guitars, electric guitars, steel guitars, banjos, and ukuleles.

24 instruments are currently available for purchase. Please make as generous an offer as possible for the sake of the charity. The collection will be awarded to the person making the highest offer. The net proceeds from this Vintage Guitar Charity Benefit Sale (over and above all costs of sales) are earmarked for donation to The World Learning Forum (WLF): www.worldlearningforum.org.

The World Learning Forum provides a platform for knowledge sharing and governance to philanthropic endeavors. Essentially, the organization has a three-part focus:

1) The WLF Knowledge Exchange. This service, which embodies the spirit of Web 2.0 (http://hbswk.hbs.edu/web-review.jhtml?id=5102&t=innovation), is aligned to the transformation of the Eight Major Systems of the Modern World (http://www.worldlearningforum.org/tf/wlf.asp?a=12) and their enlightened missions. It includes avenues for the capture of all expressible human wisdom and quantifiable knowledge (Western, Eastern, and Indigenous) into scientifically-oriented process templates suitable for universal dissemination.

2) Empowerment of Organizational Governance Worldwide. WLF makes freely available its Fortune 100-level Web-based business process software to charities, nonprofits, NGOs, and UN organizations in order to maximize their operational effectiveness through knowledge management and governance.

3) Initiative Implementation. WLF helps align, oversee, and support stakeholders and participating organizations around the successful completion of major social initiatives through cross-organization methodology management.

The purchase of this collection in its entirety entitles the buyer to receive acknowledgment on the WLF Web site if they so choose. Click to see the benefits this will provide the buyer: http://www.worldlearningforum.org/tf/wlf.asp?a=55#benefits.

WLF is seeking sponsorship from corporate and private sources who want to be involved in the next generation in philanthropy.
