Dupont Brings Jeff Gordon's #24 To PRS Party In Anaheim

Press release
Source: PRS Guitars

Dupont will continue the partnership with PRS Guitars by joining them in January at the NAMM show, the world's largest trade-only music product show with more the 74,000 attendees and over 1,300 exhibiting vendors. Dupont will be bringing along Jeff Gordon's new Dupont Hot Hues NASCAR machine to the annual PRS Party being held at the Grove of Anaheim on January 20, 2006.

This display is the latest in a series of cooperative efforts between the two companies. For over five years, Dupont Coatings have been used on virtually every PRS guitar as the final high gloss coating that gives the guitar mirror-like sheen.

Dupont's Hot Hues line offers a metallic opaque paint so impressive that PRS brought a discontinued guitar line back into production to take advantage of the colors. PRS' use of these colors opened the door of opportunity to join Dupont in 2004 and 2005 at the SEMA Automotive Show in Las Vegas Nevada, the largest aftermarket auto show in the world.

In September 2005, PRS designed and built the trophy for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 which matched the Dupont Hot Hues pace car. Kurt Busch, who won the event stated, "As soon as I jumped out of the car in victory lane I noticed the trophy and asked one of the race officials if that was the one I actually got to take home. I couldn't believe it. It's just a really cool trophy - very unique. Definitely stands out from all the others."

The NAMM trade show runs from January 19-22 in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center. Updates from the show can be seen at www.prsguitars.com.
