David Starobin has received worldwide acclaim as one of the leading guitar virtuosos of our time. The 54-year-old American guitarist's performances and recordings have pioneered both a new repertoire for the instrument and a re-evaluation of the guitar's nineteenth century repertoire, especially as performed on period guitars. More than 300 compositions have been dedicated to Starobin by composers including Elliott Carter, George Crumb, Poul Ruders, and Gunther Schuller. His most recent solo CD is Fernando Sor: Les plus belles pages (BRIDGE 9166).

Composer, conductor and percussionist David Colson has performed throughout the USA, frequently conducting performances of new music. From 1994-2000 he was Music Director of the Chico Symphony Orchestra, and as a percussionist he has performed with numerous ensembles including the Houston Symphony Orchestra, Sacramento Symphony Orchestera, Toledo Symphony Orchestra, American Ballet Theater. Colson's latest recording (conductor) is of George Crumb's Ancient Voices of Children (BRIDGE 9170).
