Four Winners to Celebrate Guitar Center's 41st Anniversary by Taking Home Cash, Cars, Music and Movie Prizing Including a Grand Prize chance at One Million Dollars

Guitar Center, the nation's leading musical instrument retailer, today announced its 41st Anniversary Extravaganza featuring a "Cash. Cars. Rock. Stars." promotion in which four lucky winners will score enormous prizes. In line with the four-pronged theme, one winner will take home a $1 million cash prize, another will drive away in a brand new Scion xA or tC, the third will win a trip for four to see Queens of the Stone Age live in Hollywood, and the last winner will receive a VIP trip for two to Hollywood to attend an all-inclusive movie premier. By far its biggest promotion, Guitar Center's 41st Anniversary Extravaganza serves as a way for the brand to show thanks to its incredibly loyal customer base, according to Jack Sonni, vice president of Marketing Communication for Guitar Center.

"Anniversary Extravaganza is Guitar Center's largest annual event, and this year's promotion features partnerships with major brands across the consumer and entertainment worlds - from movie premieres to concerts to cars," said Sonni. "We wanted to create a unique and fun promotion that appeals to the interests and lifestyle of our customer base -- the serious musician."

The "Cash. Cars. Rock. Stars" Anniversary promotion will give away some of the industry's top prizes. In addition to the million in cash and Scion xA or tC, the "Rock" and "Stars" prizes offer pretty cool getaways. As a part of the "Rock" prize, one winner and three of his/her friends will be flown to Hollywood to watch Queens of the Stone Age live in concert followed by a meet and greet with the band. The "Stars" prize also adds a fun element to the Anniversary promotion as it provides one winner and a friend with an all-inclusive trip to Hollywood to attend a movie premier featuring a walk down the red carpet and a glamorous A-list after party. The "Stars" winner will also receive an Epiphone Explorer guitar signed by the cast of "SIN CITY" and a limited edition set of "SIN CITY" DVDs.

"Partnering with Guitar Center during its Anniversary promotion is a wonderful opportunity for us to generate awareness for our release of Sin City on DVD, said Lori Sale, EVP Worldwide Promotion, Miramax & Dimension Films. "Guitar Center is well-established among young adult consumers, and this creative promotion speaks directly to their interests while also aligning with our marketing efforts."

The month-long August promotion will culminate with the announcement of the winners in September. Participants can submit entries at any Guitar Center location or online at www.guitarcenter.com.
