Electric Guitar Part of New Invention Museum

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) opened the USPTO Museum on July 14, 2005, at its new headquarters at 600 Dulany Street in Washington, D.C. The museum presents information about a number of inventions that have impacted daily life, such as, the Slinky, the hair dryer, the skateboard, and the electric guitar. Some of the exhibits are interactive, including that dedicated to the electric guitar where a touch-screen monitor demos the sound of the instrument with voice-over by Les Paul, well-known for his contributions to the invention.
