Esteban to Perform Free Concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater

Press release
Source: Esteban Music/Daystar Productions

World-renowned musician Esteban has announced a free, open-to-the-public concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005 at 7 p.m. Complimentary tickets are required and are available at www.estebanconcertatredrocks.com.

The self-taught Esteban, whose eclectic musical style encompasses classical, jazz, new age, flamenco, rock, world, country, bluegrass and bossa nova, studied for four years under legendary classical guitarist Andres Segovia.

Esteban will perform with his powerful and versatile 8-piece band, which includes his daughter Teresa on violin and drummer Joe Morris, who has recorded over 17 CDs with Esteban. Morris also produced the "Esteban Live" CD that reached # 2 on the Billboard charts. Other chart toppers include the "Intimate Evening with Esteban" video, which reached #2 on Billboard and the "Esteban and Friends" DVD, which hit # 1.

Esteban is calling the performance a "world tour of music," with instruments and music from all walks of life, including a coral sitar, a tabla, classical guitar, and hot bluegrass picking. The evening will also feature a flamenco puro set with dancer Natalie Castaneda of the famed rumba flamenco group the Gipsy Kings.

The audience and the spectacular Red Rocks Amphitheatre will be a part of Esteban's new music video and DVD, which will be filmed during the performance and available for purchase in time for the 2005 Holiday season.

About Esteban

Born Stephen Paul in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son of a steel mill worker, Esteban saw his first guitar in a shop window when he was 8 years old. His uncle bought him the guitar, starting him on an amazing journey toward international success as a world class musician. Named "Esteban" by legendary classical guitarist Andres Segovia, Esteban has topped the Billboard charts many times and has had first-time music history successes never before accomplished by a guitarist. He created a musical instrument division for affordable, quality guitars and instruction, achieving one of his biggest dreams: making it possible for thousands of children and adults who never played before to play music.
