SXSWclick Finalists Available for Viewing and Voting

Austin, TX - July 12, 2005 - South by Southwest (SXSW) Conferences & Festivals is pleased to announce the five finalists for this year's SXSWclick Festival. After weeks of viewing the many submissions, the selection committee has narrowed down the candidates to five.

The five finalists are: "101" by Matt Ogens, "Finding the Unknown God" by Lorenzo Llanillo Jr, "Jane Lloyd" by Happy, "MAN UP" by Arturo Cabanas, and "Robot-ussin" by Nikc Miller. All of them are available for download in Quicktime formats, on the SXSWclick Web site (http://2005.sxsw.com/film/click/). Plus, online viewers can vote for their favorite. Next month, SXSW will announce both a People's Choice Award winner and a Jury award winner.

"We were really happy with not only the quantity of submissions we received," says SXSW Festival Producer Matt Dentler, "but we were also thrilled with the quality. The submissions showcase some very strong short filmmaking on the scene today."

The winners of the SXSWclick Festival will receive a prize package that includes automatic entry into the 2006 SXSW Film Festival, to be held March 10-18, 2006 in Austin, Texas. Current (http://www.current.tv), the new cable television network launched by Al Gore and Joel Hyatt, is the official television partner for SXSWclick.
