Soniko to Celebrate the Airing of MTV Special, "A Todo Volumen"

Press release

Latin Alternative band Soniko will celebrate the airing of their first MTV Espanol television special "A Todo Volumen" with a special showcase performance and party at the famed Gibson Guitar / Baldwin Showroom in New York on Friday, May 26, 2005.

The MTV Buzzworthy band will be performing tracks from their debut CD Kombustion (Fabrika Music/J&N Records/SonyBMG) as well as some surprises from the forthcoming MTV Español special which is slated to be released on DVD in the fall.

The showcase is by invitation only and sponsored by Gibson Guitar, Slingerland Drums, Jack Daniels Old No. 7, Virgin Megastore and MTV Español . The promotional and instrument support of the band by musical giant Gibson Guitar and the airing of the "A Todo Volumen" special continues to show the increasing development and position which Soniko has acquired as a leading band in the Latin Alternative music scene.

Their current single "Salto Mortal" has been in top 10 rotation on MTV Español for more than 7 weeks and recently shipped to all Rock / Pop and Top 40 radio nationwide. It is the follow up to the hit "Los Muebles Del Planeta de los Simios" whose video stayed in Top 10 rotation on the network for more than 17 consecutive weeks, as well as spending many weeks in top rotation at Latin Rock radio nationwide.

Soniko has been featured in the past on national magazines including Vanity Fair and Billboard as well as various programs on all national Hispanic television networks. Soniko has been privileged to share the stage with talents such as Charly Garcia, La Secta All Stars, Hombres G, Mikel Eruxtun, Los Amigos Invisbles, La Mosca, Caramelos de Cianuro among many others; each time making more fans and cementing themselves as "The most recognized up and coming Latin Alternative Band from the USA"

Following the showcase, Soniko will continue to tour throughout the greater New York / New Jersey area with shows at La Oveja Negra in Queens, NY on Friday May 27th , D'Antigua's in New York City on Saturday May 28th and Latino Mix Radio's Elizabeth, New Jersey Memorial Day Festival on Sunday May 29th.
