WB's Scarlett Pomers Taps into the Music Industry

Press release
Source: Rhonda Boudreaux

Scarlett Pomers may be relatively new to the music scene but she delivers rock music with the conviction of a veteran. Her raw, gutsy and innovative talent has been noted by musical giant Gibson Guitar and will now be added to the long list of artists from around the world that play Gibson instruments. Scarlett was given a Gibson Flying V for her 16th birthday and never imagined that within months the company that makes her favorite guitars would present her a black Les Paul Standard Ebony, both guitars had been on Scarlett's wish list for some time.

Still just 16, the red-haired, sultry teen has become a magnate of entertainment, rapidly going from child actor to starring in the upcoming film Sing Softly Stella, set to release in 2006. Her maturity as an actress will be seen as she plays fifteen-year-old Stella Davenport who comes of age with her rock band desperately trying to find her way through her music. Sing Softly Stella is a music driven, comedic-drama with an original soundtrack and authentic performances by Scarlett

Already highly successful in film and television Scarlett is now being touted as "The New Breed of Rock". She's co-written many of her songs with several of the best writers in the biz and is currently working on an EP with the world-renowned production team, The Wizardz. Her live performances have not only received rave reviews but she has been offered residencies at The Roxy, B.B. King's and The Knitting Factory in Los Angeles. She will be the headliner at the L.A. Music Awards in November and was presented a Live Performer Award and is up for Best New Breakout Artist.

Upcoming Live Performances:

Friday, June 3, 2005 9:15 PM @ The Roxy, West Hollywood

Wednesday, June 29, 2005 8:00 PM @ The Knitting Factory Main Stage, Los Angeles

Says Scarlett:

I've always loved classic Rock and my favorite artist is Stevie Nicks, but I listen to everything from Metallica to Patsy Cline to Pachelbel and it all influences me in some way. I think people would be surprised to know I'm a huge Sarah Brightman fan! Although I grew up acting, music has become the way for me to express passion, joy, even pain and I just have to put mine out there and hope people are moved by it.
Scarlett Pomers' theatrical credits:

Scarlett's film credits include Erin Brockovich, Happy Texas, Mighty Joe Young, and The Babysitter's Club.

She is also a seasoned veteran of television with credits that include guest roles on Judging Amy, Providence, Touched By An Angel and three seasons on Star Trek: Voyager.

Scarlett and her band performed on America's Most Talented Kids on PAX TV that aired May 1, 2005.

Scarlett will be shooting her fifth season as Reba McEntire's youngest daughter, Kyra Hart, on the WB's #1 hit comedy, Reba, in August and it has been announced that the show will be renewed through 2007.
