Israeli Jazz Guitarist, Uri Bracha, Releases New Album

Uri Bracha, the Israeli jazz musician and composer, has released a new album, which includes original tunes influenced from the Middle East, Africa and Latin music with jazz. The participating artists are: Eli Magen (bass), Arnon Fridman (piano), Dani Benedict (drums) and Paula Valshtein (vocals).

The new album, called Origins, will be performed in Milestone jazz club in Shuni, Zicron Yaakov. The concert will be in 5th may at 21:00, with a special guest, featuring Hovav Ben Seadia on tenor saxophone, Fernando Knopf on bass, and Avi Barak, on drums.

These days Uri Bracha works with his new jazz trio playing his compositions (a new combination of jazz and classical music) with The Israeli Chamber Orchestra, and Habama Orchestra. One of the his successful performances is the famous Brazilian musical style Bossa Nova and jazz with the Israeli Chamber orchestra conducted by Noam Sherif. Bracha also appeared at the Red Sea International Jazz festival 2002 in Eilat, Israel.

Uri Bracha graduated the Rubin Academy in Jerusalem in classical guitar and composition. Later he lived in New York studying with the great jazz guitarist John Abercrombie. To listen to Uri Bracha's new CD please visit www.cdbaby.com/cd/uribracha.
