Muddy Waters, The Allman Brothers Band, and Others, Added to the National Recording Registry

Muddy Waters' I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man, the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds, and The Allman Brothers Band at Fillmore East, are three of the many songs, sounds and albums included in the 2004 National Recording Registry by the National Recording Preservation Board of the Library of Congress. This is part of the National Recording Preservation Act of 2000, "A bill to establish the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress to maintain and preserve sound recordings and collections of sound recordings that are culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant, and for other purposes" (Public Law 106-474; H.R.4846)."
