March 31, 2005Guitarist Taz Taylor Slays Competition at San Diego Battle of the BandsStay tuned as The Taz Taylor Band plans "Blitzkrieg" performance at the May 27th finals Taz Taylor's CAFFEINE RACER CD release backs up reputation as a shredder! The dust has settled and a blazing victory has been captured by The Taz Taylor Band in San Diego's premiere Battle of the Bands event. On March 25th they performed at San Diego's Dream Street and slayed the competition in a lanslide victory! Newly added drummer, Brad Barker of Marcy Playground fame, added the driving beat to Taylor's virtuoso fretwork that left the competition in the dust! Taylor whose guitar prowess rivals that of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai has been receiving rave reviews for the independently released album Caffeine Racer, "...a true guitar masterpiece" says Smother.net. This edgy, instrumental rock album is also being exposed for placement on TV sports and extreme sports shows. "I would like to thank all the fans for coming out to Dream Street on March 25th and voting for us in the Battle of the Bands. We will be back there on May 27th for the final and hope to see as many of you again as possible!!" Said Taylor after receiving the first place nod. For more information visit www.TazTaylor.com.
