Justin Hawkins of The Darkness Joins Madame Tussauds

A wax likeness of The Darkness frontman, Justin Hawkins, was unveiled at Madam Tussauds Wax Museum on March 17, 2005, Hawkins' 30th birthday.

Hawkins' wax double will serve as part of the museum's "Air Guitar Star" interactive exhibit. Museum patrons are invited to select one of eight different songs, including "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" by The Darkness, to which they will perform "air guitar" on a stage set up at the exhibit.

Hawkins' wax double will deliver an appraisal of the patron's performance by way of a pre-recorded statement, which could range from "Congratulations, you are a superior 'widdler'" to "Played like a lily-livered jazz enthusiast!"

Justin Hawkins from "The Darkness" celebrated his 30th birthday with his exact double at Madame Tussauds Museum in London on Thursday, March 17, 2005. Hawkins, along with his famous Gibson Les Paul Pink Sparkle guitar will be immortalized at the famous museum.
