January 20, 2005Brian Wilson to Appear at Gibson NAMM Booth to Announce His New Gibson Valley Arts Signature Model GuitarLegendary singer, songwriter, producer Brian Wilson will make a rare appearance at the Gibson Guitar exhibit at this year's Winter NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center. On Saturday, January 22nd at 2pm, Wilson joins Gibson executives at Booth #203B/2nd Floor to announce his forthcoming new Gibson Valley Arts Signature Model. In addition, Brian Wilson will sign a limited number of posters printed for his mulit-Grammy nominated masterpiece SMILE. NO PHOTOS WILL BE PERMITTED. Brian Wilson is one of rock's most deeply revered figures, a legendary and influential writer, producer, arranger and performer. Wilson and his band perform at sold out concerts thought the world, performing around the globe while singing the most cherished music in rock history. Brian is responsible for nine straight gold albums, over two dozen top 40 hits and more than 100 million records sold worldwide. More important than sheer numbers, Wilson is a pioneer -- composer, arranger and producer of his family band's records, he was the first to control every facet of his group's work. Wilson invented brand-new sounds and revolutionized the use of the recording studio as an instrument, infusing rock with classical composition, forever expanding the possibilities of pop music. Wilson's much anticipated masterpiece, "SMILE," was released last year to critical and commercial acclaim.
