Washburn Guitars Premier Disturbed's Dan Donegan Signature Series Guitar at Winter NAMM

CHICAGO, IL, JANUARY 18, 2005- Washburn Guitars will premier Dan Donegan's - lead guitarist for multi-platinum band Disturbed - signature series guitar at this winter's NAMM show.

The new "MAYA" series guitars (named after Dan's 1 year old daughter) was cooperatively designed by Dan Donegan with Washburn custom shop luthiers Eric Karol, Matt "Chewy" Dezynski, David Karon, director of artist relations and Gil Vasquez, head of production.

"Washburn really went above and beyond to make sure my guitars are to my exact specification. I really wanted to create a guitar that is somewhat unique but appeals to artists of all musical genres." said Dan Donegan.

The guitars will be offered with various components depending on the price level. The Maya Pro guitar is built in the USA and features a mahogany string-thru body with a maple cap, mahogany neck, Tone Pro bridge, Seymour Duncan El Diablo bridge pickup, Seymour Duncan 59' neck pickup, Sperzel locking tuners, rosewood fingerboard, abalone dot inlays, 25 ½" neck scale, gloss finish and the Buzz Feiten tuning system. This guitar will retail for $2,699.90.

The Maya standard guitar is also built in the USA and features a poplar string-thru body, maple neck, Seymour Duncan Distortion pickups, Tone Pros bridge, Grover 18:1 tuners, rosewood fingerboard, pearl dot inlays, 25 ½" neck, matt finish and the Buzz Feiten tuning system. This guitar will retail for $1,499.90.

An exclusive customized version of this guitar is currently in the works and is scheduled to be completed in the coming months to be made available to select Washburn dealers.
