Music writer Brian D. Holland has been a guitar player for close to 40 years. Known primarily for guitarist interviews, he also writes CD/DVD and concert reviews. An enthusiast of numerous musical styles, his reviews and musician interviews cover many genres: blues, blues-rock, jazz, classical, folk, metal, rock, and the related sub-genres. He has conducted close to 50 interviews over the past three years, the majority for Modern Guitars magazine. His agenda is to promote pure and deserving talent, renowned and unheard of, and to inform readers of guitar playing excellence in all styles and genres.

Brian also writes short stories of profound fiction, many of which have been published by various magazines and e-zines. He has completed one novel. Retired from the railroad in Boston, he resides in Norton, Massachusetts, with his wife Nancy and their two children.
