The Fender Strat Project (December 30, 2004) I'm totally amazed and humbled by the fact that Fender Music has asked me to create a series of one of a kind Fender Custom painted Strats. I never in my wildest imagination ever thought that something like this would take place, especially with my work involved. The great thing about it is, I am such a huge fan of music, that this project is in a way an attempt on my part to give back for the years that music brought me up in this world. (I give some credit to my parents...) The strange thing about the whole idea is that, knowing how important instruments are to musicians, they might find it a bit difficult of using these pieces with the knowledge that someone poured effort into their visual look. But the Strat is such a sexy thing that the painting is such a small detail to the overall look of the pieces. Anyway, I'll keep you posted with the progress and post some pictures from time to time. All the best... CRASH |
